Notes

Notes are how you capture context between Meetings: observations, reminders, and moments worth recognizing. They keep coaching grounded in what actually happened rather than impressions.

The Notes tab on a staff profile: a list of notes typed as Task, Win, and Note, each with a visibility icon and a radio button to mark it discussed.
The Notes tab on a profile: every type of note in one timeline, with visibility and discussed status at a glance.
  • General: a plain note or observation.
  • Task: an upcoming commitment or piece of work to follow up on.
  • Win: an achievement, success, or milestone worth recognizing.

Each note has a visibility level so you control who can see it:

  • Private: only you.
  • Supervisors: you and other coaches/supervisors.
  • Shared: coaches and the staff member themselves.

Notes live on the person’s profile, where you can review, edit, and delete them in bulk. They also surface wherever you coach:

From the dashboard, jot a quick note against anyone you coach the moment something comes to mind. It takes seconds, and the note is waiting for you when you prepare the next 1-1 (see Relationships).

The My Relationships dashboard widget listing the people you coach, each with quick actions to start a session, schedule a Meeting, or add a note.
The Relationships widget: the note icon next to each person captures a quick note for your next 1-1.

While running a Meeting, the sidebar shows the person’s notes as a timeline, so the tasks and wins you captured are right there to discuss. Check off each one as it’s covered.

The Meeting sidebar's notes timeline, mixing prior Meeting notes with tasks and notes, each with a checkbox to mark it discussed.
The Meeting sidebar: notes queued for discussion, checked off as the conversation covers them.
