Supported Formatting

Everywhere Admire lets you write more than a line, it is the same rich text editor: playbook pages, Meeting agendas and notes, development plans, skill and AI Coach descriptions. Content is Markdown underneath, so the usual syntax works as you type it, and what you write stays readable if it is ever exported or read by an AI tool.

There are two ways to reach the formatting rather than typing it:

  • Select text for a floating bar of the inline options.
  • Type / for a menu of the blocks you can insert. Keep typing to filter it.

Available in every editor.

WhatHow
Headings#, ##, ###, or the / menu. Levels 1 to 3.
Bold, italic, underline, strikethroughThe floating bar, the usual keyboard shortcuts, or **bold** and _italic_.
Lists- for bullets, 1. for numbers, / for a checklist. Any list can be switched to another type at any depth.
Quotes> at the start of a line.
LinksPaste a URL onto selected text, or use the floating bar.
CodeBackticks for inline code, or a fenced block from the / menu. Blocks are syntax highlighted.
TablesThe / menu inserts a 3x3 table with a header row.
CalloutsGitHub-style alerts: > [!NOTE], > [!TIP], > [!WARNING], and so on.
Horizontal rule---, or the / menu.

A few shorthands are rewritten as you type: -> and <- become arrows, -- becomes an em dash, and << >> become guillemets. Nothing else is auto-corrected, and none of it fires inside code or a diagram.

WhatHow
ImagesPaste or drag one straight in, or pick a file from the / menu.
Mermaid diagramsA fenced block tagged mermaid renders as a diagram. Wide ones are scaled to fit, and the expand control opens them full screen to zoom and scroll.
YouTubePaste a video URL.

A Mermaid block is written as an ordinary fenced block with the language set to mermaid, so this:

```mermaid
flowchart LR
Draft --> Review --> Published
```

renders as:

flowchart LR
  Draft --> Review --> Published

See the Mermaid syntax docs for the diagram types available.

WhatHow
Playbook pagesType [[ and search. The link renders as a chip that opens the page.
PeopleType @ and pick someone. The mention shows their current name, so it stays right after a rename.
Question setsThe / menu, in a Meeting’s agenda. A line that holds only the card is what asks that question set at the Meeting.
BadgesThe / menu. A small label for tagging a line, for example a status or an owner.
CommitmentsThe / menu. A checklist item badged as something the person is committing to.

Content written in an editor that had a block yours does not still renders wherever it is read. A mention of somebody who has since left, or a link to a playbook page you cannot see, reads as plain text rather than disappearing.
